Congratulations to our Trainee of the Year finalist, Brenden Cai!

The Apprentice Employment Network NSW & ACT (AEN NSW & ACT) hosts an annual awards night to recognise outstanding achievements in the vocational education and training sector. 

The 2022 NSW & ACT Group Training Awards saw apprentices, trainees, host employers and group training organisations join a celebration in Darling Harbour to reward and honour the achievements of the people and organisations that have come together to create excellent achievements at work. 

Apprentices, trainees, host employers and group training organisations were in attendance, including the Jaybro and MIGAS teams, supporting our finalist, Brenden Cai. Over 100 applicants applied and only 8 finalists were chosen, and we are very proud of Brenden’s Trainee of the Year NSW 2022 finalist nomination!

A Stand-out Team Member

Brenden joined the Jaybro team as a trainee through MIGAS in November 2020, progressing to working full-time as a Junior Systems Administrator in June 2022. 

Through the challenges and upheavals of Covid, Brenden has been instrumental in moving employees from the office to getting them up and running efficiently with their work-from-home setups. Overall, Brenden is an asset to the team, through his dedication, knowledge, and diligence, embodying our core values of getting things done. Plus, he has pushed the boundaries with his traineeship, fast-tracking his course by almost a year.

Through Jaybro’s long-standing trainee partnership with MIGAS, Brenden and many other trainees have had the opportunity to gain experience whilst working in a fast-paced environment, learning real-world skills on the job. This has often led to ongoing careers as young trainees grow and develop in their roles. 

On the recent awards night, our MIGAS IT Trainees Matt and Issy came along to support Brenden, as well as Bijay who coaches the IT Trainees and Rebecca Meli our CTO. A huge congratulations to Brenden from all of us at Jaybro and MIGAS!
