These self-drilling bugle batten timber screws are heavy duty fasteners, ideal for fixing large timber joints such as decking frames, wall joists and supports.

A bugle screw is a self-drilling screw that features a countersunk head with a flat top and a concave under-head bearing surface. This unique design enables the distribution of the bearing stress over a much wider area than is possible with a flat head screw.

While bugle head screws are normally used to fasten wood frames and supports, they are also an ideal all round screw. They have a high standard of corrosion resistance and give a flush finish.

Self-drilling screws eliminate the need to drill pilot holes, for efficient. Another key bugle head screw benefit is that they can sufficiently depress the surface of wood material without breaking it, which minimizes the risk of damage to the finished product.
