Aftek Level Hard Primer Acrylic Bonding Agent 5L

Levelhard Primer is a synthetic emulsion primer for Aftek Tru Level. It is a general purpose acrylic bonding agent, primer and cement modifier as part of Aftek's flooring product range. It is formulated primarily for use with Aftek Tru Level, Level Pro and Levelhard.

APPLICATION

Surface Preparation:

All contacted surfaces must be free of oil, grease or other contamination which may inhibit bond. Remove loose concrete by scabbling or water blasting before starting repair work. Presoak the substrate where practical or dampen before applying the primer. All exposed steel must be cleaned back to bright metal and coated with Zinc Primer. Saw cut the edge of the repair area to a minimum depth of 10mm to avoid feather edging of Levelhard or grano topping.

Mixing:

Levelhard Primer is ready to use as supplied for use as an admixture in mortar or render applications.

Placement:

Apply the Levelhard Primer by brush or spray to give an even coverage over the substrate. Apply the repair mortar or screed while the prime coat is still tacky for optimum results. Application to dry primer may cause possible slippage of screeds during application.

Levelhard Primer is suitable for use as a low efficiency curing compound where the application of an after trade prohibits the use of wax or resinous compounds. Where a high efficiency curing membrane is required use Aftek Curecon A (certified to AS3799)

Clean Up:

Clean all equipment with water immediately after use.

Store in original containers and reseal after use.

Approx. 5sqm/L for prime coat and 5sqm/L for curing coat. Coverage will depend on the choice of substrate texture.
