“As an employee of Jaybro with an indigenous background, I enjoy and appreciate being part of the team and culture at Jaybro.
My role at Jaybro is a Warehouse Operator. In this role, I am involved in ensuring all local client orders are checked accurately and packed to a high standard, and communicating with our external delivery drivers to ensure orders are dispatched in a timely manner.
The best thing about Jaybro is knowing that in my role I can make a difference to the success of the company – both by delivering a high standard of service to our customers – “Wow our customers with service”, and supporting the strong culture of teamwork and moving fast to get results.
Our team work hard and are rewarded on our success – plus have an opportunity to chat with other staff members in the company over games of table tennis.
I have excellent experience and training in my role and look forward to continuing to develop my career at Jaybro.”
“I joined Jaybro in 2013 and what I have enjoyed the most about the company, as a team member with an indigenous background, is the equal opportunity I get to make my mark within Jaybro and to advance within the company through continuous training and hard work.
My role at Jaybro is the Queensland Branch Coordinator managing 6 staff members to ensure our customers get the best service through our controlled systems.
This role allows me to develop business and operational management skills that help me grow as a person, not only at work but also outside of work.
I would recommend Jaybro as an excellent place of employment for indigenous and non-indigenous employees to develop your skills and knowledge in the workplace while having the pleasure to be working in a friendly family environment.”
“Being one of the team at Jaybro gives me the opportunity to be part of an organisation that puts Core Values first and places the importance of serving our customers as a priority.
In my role as a Warehouse Operator at Jaybro, I am involved in preparing orders for dispatch, and working with a team of warehouse operators to meet order preparation deadlines.
The thing I like the most about Jaybro is having a clear understanding of the goals for my role, my team and the company overall – we each know what success looks like, and this gives me satisfaction in my work life and personal life, knowing that I come to work with purpose and leave knowing that the job is done – Consider it Done!
As an indigenous employee of Jaybro, I appreciate the open and friendly culture – every employee lives and breathes the Core Values in every process, commitment and task.”
Diversity in our Supply Chain
In the same way that we recognise the value of diversity in our people, we also strive to carry diversity through our supply chain. By making procurement decisions that include Indigenous businesses, we can ensure that our supply chain is more flexible, innovative and sustainable.
As part of our commitment to supporting and empowering indigenous businesses, Jaybro has attained membership with Supply Nation. Bringing together the biggest national database of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses, Supply Nation facilitates stronger procurement ties between emerging indigenous businesses and some of Australia’s largest corporations.
Designed to harness procurement spend and redirect it to traditionally under-represented businesses, Supply Nation assists indigenous businesses to connect with the country’s most forward-thinking companies, creating positive social change.
