In the video above Nathan talks about chalk line and chalk refills. Chalk line reels are designed for marking out straight lines along moderately flush surfaces, with the unit available at Jaybro marking up to a 30m line.
The chalk line is laid across the surface to be marked and drawn tight. The string line is then plucked, causing the line to snap back onto the surface resulting in the string, striking and transferring a chalk line to the surface.
Using a chalk line is the easiest way to mark out or give yourself a straight line as a building guide, it’s as simple as attaching the string-line at each end of the line you wish to mark, pulling it up, creating a temporary line.
Remember, a most common issue associated with chalk line string is breakage, which is commonly caused by excessive tension on the line.
